It is a shrub that is Native to South Africa and is well known as a household tea drink.
The Rooibos plant has many skincare benefits. It helps with skin problems such as eczema, nappy rash and acne; applied topically it has a soothing effect on the skin.
It is therefore very good for sensitive skins and even babies. Just be aware that sensitive skins do not normally react well to fragrances or very strong essential oils, it is therefore better to use a fragrance free soap for these skin types and that is exactly why we have kept our Rooibos and African Black Soap completely fragrance free.
