Non-nano Zinc Oxide
The only UV protector, with global regulatory safety acceptance, that provides broad spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Zinc oxide is known as a physical UV filter. This molecule acts as a barrier by shielding the skin from sunlight by way of reflecting & scattering UV rays. The particles work like thousands of atomic mirrors on the skin. Physical barriers are near-perfect sunscreens; they protect against UVA & UVB and start working immediately. They’re also stable, seen as safe, and don’t break down in the sun
Coconut oil
In the past coconut oil has been a main ingredient in suntan and sunscreen lotions. As time has passed, coconut oil has been replaced with many harmful chemicals that are meant to block the sun’s ultraviolet radiation.
Coconut Oil has an SPF of 8, which blocks 75% of UV radiation.
Shea Butter
Native to Africa. Shea butter melts at body temperature and absorbs rapidly into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. It contains the antioxidants, vitamins A and E (also acts as a natural preservative) both of which enhances skin cell regeneration and promote blood circulation below the skins surface. Cinnamic acidin the oil provides vital protection against harmful UV rays.
Carrot seed oil
An essential oil with significant antioxidant properties with high levels of vitamin A. When applied topically to the skin in a suspension of other base oils, like coconut oil in Green Honu. Carrot seed oil also provides natural sun protection.
Raspberry seed oil
Raspberry seed oil offers UVA + UVB protection similar to zinc oxide with up to 50 SPF protection factor against UVB rays and 8 SPF against UVA.
Lavender essential oil
An amazing essential oil for soothing, healing and repairing the skin, it prevents burns and also heals severe burns in a very short space if time.
*Its not suggested to use any of these oils on their own for sun protection. They work in synergy to enhance the skin protection benefits of Non-nano Zinc oxide, while also nourishing the skin and preventing free radical damage.
